Texas Guardianship Lawyer

Many situations arise where you may feel that a loved one is not capable of handling all aspects of life independently.

Situations can include: financial abuse of a relative, dementia, neurodevelopmental disorders, or a child who loses both parents.

Guardianships are essentially suing to take away someone’s rights, therefore the law requires that alternatives to guardianship be considered. I help families navigate alternatives and apply for full or limited guardianship if it is in the best interest of everyone involved.

  • I serve courts in Travis County and Williamson County as a court-appointed Attorney Ad Litem, and I am certified by the State Bar of Texas to represent applicants for Guardianship.

  • I am a member of the State Bar of Texas (Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section; Litigation Section); the Austin Bar Association (Estate Planning and Probate Section); and the State Bar of California (Trusts and Estates Section).

  • I’m licensed to practice in Texas, my adopted home of the last 9 years, and my home state of California. I received my J.D. from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law.
